CloudResearch Connect Integration

This guide walks you through running your Domandata survey on CloudResearch Connect. When people finish, they go straight back to Connect so they get credited.

You'll need:

• A CloudResearch Connect account
• A study you've started in Connect's Create a Study steps

1. Step 1: In Connect, copy the return link. Connect shows it on the last page of Create a Study.

2. Step 2: In Domandata, go to the Deploy tab and open Recruitment. Click CloudResearch Connect.

   • The return link you just copied.
   • A second link for people who don't qualify, only if Connect gave you one.

4. Step 4: Click Connect CloudResearch Connect. Domandata sets everything up so people go back to CloudResearch Connect when they finish.

5. Step 5: Copy your study link. Click Copy Link next to Share the study link.

6. Step 6: In Connect, paste the link as your survey link.

7. Step 7: In Connect, turn on sending participant IDs. This lets Domandata know who each person is.

8. Step 8: Tell Domandata who doesn't qualify. Under Send non-qualifiers back, Domandata usually spots your screening question, like "Are you 18 or older?" Click Yes, Route It to use it, or Choose Answers to pick the question yourself.

9. Step 9: Publish your survey. Click Publish at the top of the Deploy tab. If it's already live, click Push Changes instead.

10. Step 10: Try it yourself. Under Try it yourself, click Open Test Link and take the survey once for each way it can end. Nothing is sent to CloudResearch Connect. You'll just see where a real participant would go.

11. Step 11: Delete your test runs. Click Delete Before Launch at the top of the Deploy tab.

12. Step 12: In Connect, launch your study.

• People who finish go back to Connect.
• People who don't qualify, and people who arrive after their group is full, go to your second link if you added one. Otherwise they're told they can close the page and return to Connect.
• People who fail an attention check are told they can close the page and return to Connect.

Your exported data shows how each person finished, along with their Connect ID so you can match them up in CloudResearch Connect.

• Your data has no Connect IDs. In Connect, turn on sending participant IDs (step 7).
• People aren't being credited. Check that the return link in Domandata matches the one Connect gave you, then try the test link again.

You won't need these to get set up, but CloudResearch Connect support may ask for them.

• Connect adds participantId, assignmentId, and projectId to your study link.
• Exports include a column for each of those.
