When To Use Survey Quotas
Survey quotas help academic researchers control target response counts for condition arms. Use quotas when a social science research survey needs balanced cells, capped treatment groups, closing screens for full arms, or quota status that can reroute later respondents.
Deploy: Quotas
Deploy
Configure publishing, links, quotas, and theme from the Deploy tab.
In Domandata, quotas are tied to condition sets. Create the relevant experimental conditions in Flow first, then configure quotas in Deploy.
Create The Quota
Step 1: Create conditions first. In Flow, create the condition set and arms the quota will track.

Step 2: Open Deploy. Select the Deploy tab and expand the quota settings.

Step 5: Enter the target. Add the target response count and a clear label, such as Treatment A target or Control cell.

Step 6: Choose the full behavior. Decide whether respondents should see an end screen when the quota is exceeded or be routed by quota status in Flow.

Step 7: Preview and monitor. Test the route with Preview before publishing and monitor quota progress after launch.

Choose What Happens When A Quota Is Full
Turn on "End survey when quota is exceeded" when new respondents should see a closing screen immediately after the tracked arm is full. Choose the closing screen that explains why the survey is closed or that the participant is no longer eligible.
If you want to route full quotas into another path instead, use quota status as a variable in Flow. This lets a condition set assign respondents based on whether a quota is open or full.

Monitor Quota Progress
The quota panel shows progress toward each target response count. Before publishing, preview the survey and confirm each quota tracks the intended condition arm.

Research Design Notes
Quotas manage sample targets; they do not replace a sampling plan. Decide whether quotas should count starts, completions, or respondents reaching a particular experimental arm based on your protocol and recruitment source. For planning cell sizes before launch, see Sample Allocation Across Condition Arms.
