Prepare Surveys For Panel Recruitment
Panel recruitment often brings respondents from an external provider, classroom pool, or managed participant list. Before sharing a public or personal link, make sure the survey has clear screeners, data quality checks, quotas, and completion instructions.
Set Up The Panel Launch
Step 1: Open the survey draft. From Surveys, open the version you plan to send to the panel provider or participant list.

Block Builder: Voter Registration Screener
The registered_voter variable drives the Flow branch — eligible respondents continue, ineligible route to a screen-out end screen.
Step 3: Check Flow and quotas. Open Flow for eligibility and condition routing, then use Deploy for quota and link settings.

Step 4: Add completion instructions. Put completion codes, redirect instructions, or panel-specific language on the final end screen.
Step 4: Add completion instructions
Block Builder: Content Block
Add instructional text or embed a YouTube video as a stimulus.
Step 5: Test the exact entry link. Pilot with the same draft, public, or personal link format the panel will use.

Step 6: Export a test response. Confirm recruitment identifiers, completion status, and condition data appear where expected in Export.

The registered_voter column confirms each respondent's eligibility response. Cross-reference with condition_arm to verify routing worked correctly.
Panel-Ready Checklist
- Consent and screening: confirm respondents are eligible before the main task.
- Quotas: cap or balance condition arms when the sample plan requires it.
- Public or personal links: choose the link type that matches the recruitment workflow. For managed participant lists, personal links track completion per invitee and support targeted reminders to non-responders.
- End screens: provide completion, ineligible, and quota-full messages.
- Data quality checks: add validation, attention checks, or reCAPTCHA where appropriate.

Before Launch
Run a pilot with the same entry link you plan to give the panel. Confirm redirects or completion instructions, export fields, quotas, and treatment paths before paid collection begins.
Deploy: Publish and Links
Deploy
Configure publishing, links, quotas, and theme from the Deploy tab.
Export Notes
Keep panel identifiers, personal link tokens, or completion variables consistent with your privacy and research protocol. Export test responses before launch so you know where recruitment-related fields appear.
For managed participant lists using personal links, the Deploy tab shows a live completion count per batch after sending invitations. Use Download N pending to retrieve non-responder links for re-distribution, or Send reminder to reach non-responders directly via email or SMS without generating new tokens.
Export: Data Output
Export
Download analysis-ready response data from the Export tab.
